FOD prevention are common areas where clients reside or are present. Our goal is to eliminate contamination, entrapment, migration or damage. This is important for the safety of all clients and staff. Let's work as a team to keep our environment/homes safe.
Anything that is where it doesn't belong can be FOD!! All areas, common rooms, clients rooms, vehicles and grounds shall be FOD free.
Question: What are the TWO formal definitions of FOD?





1- A foreign object debris (a substance, lose hardware, debris or article alien to a vehicle system which could potentially cause damage.)
2- Anything that is where it doesn’t belong
1 FOD is an object that is not in the appropriate place  or is blocking an common walk area . 2 A Foreign object debris that is not in correct area .
FOD is an object that can be or cause danger to residents/staff its important to remember this safety concept.
FOD= is an important quality control and safety concept that refers to loose objects and small debris that have the potential to cause damage and injury in work environments. FOD= is a serious matter in environment, where quality assurance mandates that everything is in its proper place and workers are kept safe.
FOD is something that is in a common area Not safe for clients or staff.this can be anywhere
we all need to beaware of this for our safety.
