When it comes to safety in the workplace it is everyone's responsibility to observe and identify if something needs to be replaced, moved or fixed to prevent a possible injury. What does FOD stand for? A foreign object debris (a substance, debris,
loose hardware, or article alien to a vehicle or system which could potentially cause damage.)
Let's all strive for positive thinking in the work field. An example would be: "Let me clean up this mess before someone gets hurt." This is a great example of observing what is around you to potentially help prevent something bad from happening. An example of negative thinking is: "I did not leave it there; I did not do it that is not my mess." This type of thinking will always hurt someone directly or indirectly.
If we all work together as a team, we can be a part of the solution when it comes to minimizing hazardous situations. In this month's blog please discuss/comment below what are some things you can look out for and what you can do to help ensure everyone's safety inside the homes.

What to do to make sure everyone's safety inside the homes
Need to clean up like a spell on the floor.
Making sure hazardous items such as sharp objects and dangerous tools are located up.
Always be aware of their surroundings at all times. Keep an eye for anything unusual. An unusual unsafe item could be a sharp object or chemicals. Leaving things out can potentially harm yourself and your clients. And keep an eye on the clients.
Keep the client safe.
staff should do their best to be aware of their surroundings at all times. Keep an eye for anything unusual. An unusual unsafe item could be a sharp object or chemicals. Leaving these out could potentially harm yourself and your clients. Be sure to check for unusual objects, lock up chemicals, and keep an eye on client.
We must make sure that we are always checking the homes for any potential hazards or objects that could be obstructing a pathway, hallway, entryway, doorway, or any open area/space to help avoid an accident from happening. If there is an object somewhere that could lead to a fall or slip please move the object back to where it belongs. Don’t wait for someone else to do it. If you notice an appliance that needs repairing then let management know so it can get fixed as soon as possible before it leads to other problems. If you notice any broken furniture, windows or cabinets that need repair please notify management. If you notice a vehicle needs some attention with maintenance…
Its every one responsibility to report if something needs to be fix/repair,if a chemical is out put it away were it goes, sharp items lock them up where they go,if you come in and co.worker needs help to clean up like a spell on the floor help out, be for some one gets hurt.
