Client Rights Training #7: "A right to physical exercise and recreational opportunities."
Please discuss below how we as caregivers can implement/provide more activities/things to do for clients to participate in for a better quality of life.

Enjoy the Outdoors
Even if people have limited mobility, they can still enjoy the outdoors in many ways. For someone who can’t get out, even just watching the birds out the window can be a great way to distract their mind. Exercise with them when you can, to a level that they’re comfortable with. Even just getting some fresh air in can make a world of difference.
Community outing and activities, encouraging clients to do activities.
Process group, staff facilities these groups to help clients develop the skills necessary to deal with their individual problems/issues by using the group Process to provide peer interaction and feedback in developing problem solving strategies and to assist one another in resolving behavioral and emotional problems.
Caregivers can improve quality of life for an individual with developmental disabilities.
Encouraging the clients with all different activities like coloring, walking or watching T.V. Make fun time for the client.
Encouraging the clients with all different ADL’s and to participate and engage in outdoor activities
As caregivers we can encourage clients to get more active , whether it be in the house doing workout videos or taking a walk around the neighborhood . Doing sports activities at the park or even encouraging a dance off in the middle of the livingroom just to make it as fun as possible for the residents
