Managing clients and their behaviors is something that we deal with on a daily basis and our goal is to help them to be successful. The way we can help is to acknowledge that everything is a behavior. So our goal is to replace behaviors we want to decrease with those behaviors we want to increase.
1) Explain what ABC stands for?
2) When should you intervene to prevent a behavior? Give an example of how to change a behavior?

What is A B C and what does it stands for?
A - ANTECEDENT - What happens before the behavior?
B - BEHAVIOR - What is the behavior?
C - CONSEQUENCE - What happens after the behavior?
A- Antecedent a type of behavior watching out for certain behavior change such as what triggers towards causing a problem and ongoing.
B- Behavior Also a behavior which is to be observed and to be direct to use the proper training/ protocols from beggining to end to summarize all leading up to results.
C- Consequence to use all ABCs steps which has been used by professionals as it's there job to be trusted by families and still today different methods are used to…
PRN- means to take medication when required only (As needed)
First, intervention comes with observation of a certain behavior. Being proactive and knowing when the behavior is on the rise, one must redirect the client in a positive direction. At times rewards can help before a behavior begins
ABC stands for Antecedent, Behavior, Consequence
ABC stands for: Antecedent: what happens before the behavior? Behavior: what is the behavior? C: what happens after the behavior? When should you intervene or an example of how to change a behavior: You can help a client by knowing your client and knowing what they are motivated by. If you know this beforehand you will be able to change their behavior by giving certain choices. By using your ABC’s you are able to recognize and intervene and decrease/prevent a behavior before it escalates or happens. Try and get rid of triggers if possible and decrease behavior by doing something a client does not want.
