Client Right #2 states: "A right to dignity, privacy, and humane care."
It is best to be prepared in case of an emergency. Many unexpected emergencies such as wildfires, flash flooding, earthquakes or other disasters occur with little to no warning. That's why getting to know the home you work at is a critical part in being prepared and can help to ensure everyone's safety.

All Staff should be able to answer these questions. If you are unsure of any question, discuss with your co-workers and management. Let's make sure we are aware and prepared in case of an emergency situation.

Pass, aim, squeeze, sweep
Race, remove, alarm, confine, evacuate
Always respect their privacy.
PASS stands for PULL, AIM, SQUEEZE , and SWEEP.
RACE is used to remember duties in case of a fire. It stands for RESCUE, ALARM, CONFINE, EXTINGUISH/EVACUATE.
We can ensure clients have privacy by knocking on their bedroom door before entering. It is their bedroom and they have to right to keep it locked or unlocked but we must make sure we respect their privacy by knocking.

One way to ensure a client privacy :
> Use a secure file sharing and messaging platform
> Store physical documents in an environment with controlled access
> comply with industry regulation
>Host routine security training for staff
> Stay alert of new security threats
